The Manager of Land Admin for Viper Energy Partners is a highly detail-oriented individual who is a subject matter expert in the maintenance and oversight of a land management system and land admin team. The manager should be strong technically in all aspects of land administration including division orders and lease records. Further, the candidate should have experience in the setting up and tracking of mineral interests, ORRIs and associated leases, units, wells in a land management system on a large scale.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day maintenance, contract set up and oversight of the land records and a Quorum based land management system for the organization
Deliver reliable, up-to-date outputs for use by multiple business functions throughout our organization (Accounting, Reserves, Business Development, Land & IR)
Manage the ownership of minerals and royalties from standpoint of lease status, HBP status, linking to wells, units, and leases for multiple corporate entities
Mentor and coach team members along their career path
Address and resolve personnel issues
Interview new potential team members and make hiring recommendations
Coordinate the training of new team members
Prepare and conduct annual reviews for team members
Other duties as assigned by the executive team or upper management
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required
Strong working knowledge of GIS
Minimum five (5+) years of experience in Land or Land Administration
Ability to manipulate with precision large datasets in Excel and within other databases
Experience in setting up mineral interests, NPRIs, ORRIs and related leases
Proven track record of performing at a high-level and providing work product that demonstrates mastery of prior job functions and tasks
Experience in working with land systems and being the point of contact for all upgrades and bugs
Preferred Qualifications:
Supervisory experience preferred
Ten (10+) years of experience in Land or Land Administration preferred
Experience in Quorum land management systems preferred, but not required
Proven examples of identifying solutions to known issues and suggesting process improvements to increase effectiveness
Demonstrated integrity in work product and in dealing with team members
