About the position
As a Backroom Associate at Sam’s Club, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and processing shipments for the Club in accordance with company policies and procedures. Your responsibilities will include developing and posting delivery schedules, compiling and organizing receiving reports, verifying merchandise counts, routing merchandise to proper locations, and managing expenses. You will be responsible for receiving merchandise for the facility and ensuring that the receiving area is organized and maintained according to company procedures. This involves utilizing equipment appropriately, merchandising, and completing all required documentation accurately. In addition to managing incoming merchandise, you will track and process claims by returning damaged goods, handling liquidation merchandise, and maintaining the clearance area. You will also utilize technology to capture required reporting and documentation, ensuring that all processes are efficient and compliant with company standards. Safety is a top priority, and you will maintain the safety of the facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines. This includes conducting safety sweeps, adhering to proper forklift spotting procedures, and following procedures for handling hazardous materials. You will be expected to comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans and using the Open Door Policy. Completing work assignments and priorities will require collaboration with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners. You will identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations, carry out tasks, communicate progress, and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities. Adaptability and a willingness to learn from change, difficulties, and feedback are essential traits for success in this role.

Requirements
? Forklift Certification or ability to obtain it within 30 days of job entry date.
