Position Overview
Join our dynamic team as a SALT Specialist at our CPA firm, where you will play a vital role in providing state and local tax compliance and consulting services. This position is ideal for individuals looking to further their careers in tax while helping clients navigate complex tax regulations and optimize their tax positions.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review state and local tax returns for various clients
Conduct tax research and analysis on state and local tax issues
Assist clients with SALT compliance and planning strategies
Provide guidance on tax regulations and changes affecting clients
Support clients in managing audits and inquiries from state tax authorities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive tax solutions
Monitor and interpret state and local tax legislation changes
Develop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and service
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
CPA certification is preferred
Strong understanding of state and local tax regulations
Experience in SALT compliance and tax planning
Proficiency in tax research and analysis
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
