Job Description
This role is a hybrid role & will oversee bartending and serving in a resort restaurant setting.
Duties:
– Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food to customers
– Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
– Check identification to verify legal drinking age
– Clean and sanitize bar area, including utensils and equipment
– Maintain inventory of bar supplies and restock as needed
– Handle cash and credit card transactions
– Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
-Creative upselling, making suggestions
Requirements:
– Previous restaurant bartending & serving experience preferred
– Knowledge of different types of alcoholic beverages and their ingredients
– Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
– Strong bartending skills, including mixing cocktails and pouring drinks accurately
– Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact with diverse clientele
– Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating tips
– Time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
– Experience using Micros or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus
