We depend on our Nurses to help manage the physical and behavioral health of our Patients. Your expertise in Supervisory, Direct and Personal care anchors the work we do at Sananga Care Homes. We depend on your medical knowledge and assistance to meet our compliance requirements with the State and appreciate your leadership in Nursing care.
What you will do
? You will develop and approve the medication services and personal care policies and procedures.
? You will support the Resident admission process and perform a Residents Assessment 30 days before of 7 days after resident admission.
? You will instruct Residents and Personnel on the use of prescribed medications, anticipated results, potential adverse reactions and side effects.
? You will share with the residents on the adverse reactions when the medication is not taken.
? You will train Personnel at Sananga Care homes on medication service processes, monitor the administration of medication and ensure personnel implement and adhere to the medication policies and procedures.
? You will develop the process of reporting medication errors.
? You will educate staff members on medications and controlled substances, their side effects, adverse reactions, refusals and overdoses.
? You will train Personnel on administering and recoding the administration of Opiods.
? You ensures that the residents medication regiment is reviewed by a Medical Practitioner and meets the residents treatment needs.
? You are also be required to audit the MAR forms, medication inventorying, tracking and disposal.
? You are able to complete a consulting evaluation every 3 months.
TRAINING REQUIREMENT
? You have an Associated Degree or Bachelors Degree in Nursing, with a valid license sanctioned by the State National Licensing body.
? You maintain Nursing licensing requirements, are participate actively in the resident placement, management of medical procedures expectations and develop the medication services.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
? Works to promote health, prevent diseases and help behavioral health residents cope with illnesses.
? Advocates for health education, resident care, observes, accesses and records symptoms, reactions and progress.
? Assists Physicians during treatment and examinations, administers medications and assists in convalescence and rehabilitation.
? Understands the medical series and medication services for the residents with behavioral health, physical health and substance abuse.
? You are knowledgeable, reliable, dependable and punctual and available for timely resident processing of resident admissions.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
? A valid Nursing license. Nursing License will be verified by the Administration.
? A negative TB test. ( Required by law) Cost $32.00
? A valid Fingerprinting card. (Required by Law) Cost $65. Here is the closest location next to Sananga. Or finally a location closest to you. All fingerprinting cards will be checked for validation.
? A valid CPR and First Aid Card. ( Required by Law). Call Sananga for school recommendation.
? A valid Food Handling Certificate. ( Required by Law). Get an ANSI accredited Arizona food handling certificate here online Food Handling classes or on any other source you find. Cost $10.00
? Sananga Care Homes administration also requires a current resume reflecting Nursing / BHT experience, an SSN card , National ID and 3 character references.
? Applicants will be required to attend an 8 hour job orientation, (required by law) and fill out a freedom from convictions form.
NOTE
The Registered Nurse job role is a Contracted position.
