Overview
Exclusive Jewels is looking for a creative individual who can help grow a small jewelry business by using their photography, and graphic design skills. Exclusive Jewels was established in 2012 in Boston, but is now located on the Northshore and looking to enhance their e-commerce business through social media and a newly designed website with exciting images and graphics. Alissa, the owner, will work closely with the student to understand the brands aesthetic and how their skills can elevate it. Its an exciting opportunity to grow a business using todays web-based sales channels such as Instagram and Facebook.
Flexible hours and times depending on students availability.
Responsibilities
Capture crisp creative pictures of jewelry using a lightbox and natural settings
Use Photoshop or another editing software to make the images as professional as possible
Upload relevant pictures to social media accounts and create related and interesting posts
Attend occasional antique and jewelry shows to capture photos and videos for content
Qualifications
Enjoys working with beautiful things ??
Creative thinker with a good sense of composition and design
Familiarity with social media sites
Clear communicator with strong attention to detail
Curious about the jewelry business is a bonus
Friendly, kind and responsible
Have access to camera and photo editing software
Compensation
For the photography internship, the intern will receive academic credit and up to $600 to cover travel expenses
The photography part-time position will be paid an hourly rate based on experience plus a commission on sales made through social media or website posts
