• Serves as technical authority and expert responsible for resolving space management problems requiring innovative solutions. • Analyzes complex problems in space management activities and negotiations that involve long-term planning. • Oversees difficult and complex assignments that involve the efficient and effective use of space assets and resources. • Serves as a conduit between the Space Management Branch Chief and a space management team, ensuring successful completion of assignments, providing project updates, coaching team members. • Identifies resources; prepares and reviews copies of work, space plans and specifications; and develops and reviews cost estimates and project schedules for presentation to management. • Participates in management briefings concerning space master planning. Coordinates the preparation of technical planning documents, including the Major Project Report and the travel budget. • Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities and prepares schedules for completion of work. Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities. • Establishes guidelines and performance expectations for staff members, while identifying any issues or necessary resources to facilitate the execution of space management activities.
• Responsible for directing and coordinating building services including design, furniture installation, workstation modifications, in accordance with accepted ergonomic requirements, security and safety protocols, and general attention to staff related business issues. • Create and present space project presentations and projections to senior and executive staff, based on gathered requirements. • Serve as administrator for the Federal Trade Commission’s CAD/CAFM system for moves and space management, including updating drawings and approval of space changes. • Responsible for the management and completion of regional office furniture installations, moves and building decommissioning. • Consistently provide outstanding service to customers and staff, from project inception through completion, within budgetary and time constraints. • Served as Acting Space Resources Branch Chief and managed staff for a 3 month period.
